KCAW x London Projects Mural
Hand painted mural for the Kensington & Chelsea Art Weekend, in collaboration with London Projects.
The mural depicts Cremorne Gardens in Chelsea. Opened in 1843, the gardens were a place of entertainment that attracted a wide range of visitors. The garden provided a range of entertainment including theatres, dancing, gardens and mazes. The most popular attraction were the balloon ascents. Cremorne Gardens still exists today, and the mural aims to uncover and portray a sense of the gardens as they were in the 1800s, as well as celebrate the importance of gardens and public spaces in London today.
